Ribbed cans
Series of our ribbed canisters are one of our most popular products because of its versatility. Whether it’s for simple liquid disposal or the disposal of certain hazardous materials, our accessories are guaranteed to meet your needs.
These models have a ribbed surface on the side, giving the canister wall extra rigidity and a thicker handle for a comfortable grip.
2 and 20 litres
With its medium-sized orifice, this series is designed for the packaging of liquids. These canisters can be suitable for chemical products (e.g. engine oil, household chemicals, agrochemical products, disinfectant and cleaning solutions) and pharmaceutical products.
Due to their material, these products show strong resistance to aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, organic acids, and alkalis, as well as organic liquids such as alcohols, esters, and ketones, even in higher concentrations and/or temperatures.
The BK-series got its name from its structure stabilizing braces – the ribs. This design is meant to provide an added reinforcment to the walls while ensuring a comfortable grip and easy handling.
The 20 liter piece of the series (BK-20) is ADR certified.
We also sell Euro, tap and other cans. See our range of quality cans. Contact us to help you choose the right design for your needs.
Let’s see what is meant by the name ribbed or ribbed can!
A canister, usually with a medium-sized filling opening, for packaging liquids.
They are named after the ribbed surface they have, which gives them extra rigidity, a comfortable grip and easy loading properties.
Ribbed cans are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
They have a density of at least 0,941 g/cm 3.
This makes them extremely solid, loadable, durable and resistant.
Due to these properties, it is a very widely used plastic.
When the product is recycled, it is reused as a non-food storage material, such as shampoo, detergent, motor oil bottles, or as a pipe assembly, flower pot or bin for collecting selective waste.
Our cans are typically used in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries for the storage and transport of various liquids and gels.
But they are also widely used for domestic purposes, for example to store drinking water.
Ribbed jerrycans are highly resistant, allowing the storage of many different types of material.
For example, because of their outstanding resistance to chemicals, they can withstand aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, almost all organic acids and bases, and other organic liquids, even at high concentrations.
Because of these properties, the substances that can be stored in them include alcohols, car care products, diagnostic agents, food additives such as flavourings or liquid foods, table salt, esters, dyes, glycerol, ketones, cosmetic additives, alkalis, pesticides, oils, acids, fats and water.
Yes, of course!
With a capacity of 20 litres and a 35 mm filling opening, our ribbed can is suitable for filling ADR-qualified products, making it suitable for the transport and storage of hazardous fillers.
They are also suitable for road (ADR), rail (RID), sea (IMDG Code) and air (IATA DGR) transport.
This includes substances that are flammable, explosive, harmful to health (mainly corrosive, toxic) or harmful to the environment, which can only be stored and transported under strict conditions.
Our range of cans (BK) is available in 2 and 20 litre sizes.
